Late Shree Devraj M. Gundecha started a Charitable Trust known as Gundecha Charities, as a Public Trust Registered under the provisions of Public Trust Act, 1950 and is registered with the Charity Commissioner under Registration No. A 9122 MUMBAI dated 28/12/1982 as a Public Charitable Trust with the objective to establish and/or run educational/Charitable institutions. The Trust Office is housed in Gundecha Group, 141, Gundecha House, Jawahar Nagar, Goregaon (West), Mumbai – 400 062. The other Trustees are Late Shree Hastiraj D. Gundecha, Shree Paras D. Gundecha & Ms. Poonam P. Gundecha. The Trust holds exemption u/s 80G of the Income Tax Act.
Gundecha Charities was established with several objectives in mind to serve society without any distinction of caste, creed, religion or sex. Gundecha Charities always comes forward to help needy, poor and deserving people or students, so that they can grow in their life and live a respectable life like a normal Indian. Gundecha Charities has set various charitable objectives to help society. To name a few, start, support, maintain or provide monetary assistance to schools, colleges, institutions, hospitals and impart education and training. Also to establish and support professorship, fellowship, leadership and give prizes in the name of the trust. To establish and support Libraries, Art Galleries, Playground for children, Public halls, Community halls, Water huts, sports and Gymnasium activities for public benefit. Charity grants relief to disabled, blind, crippled or handicapped persons who are otherwise physically or mentally deficient or weak.
At present Gundecha Charities is helping and maintaining following social, educational, religious bodies, hospitals and nursing homes such as: -
Punarvas Education Trust for the mentally handicapped at Goregaon where around 150 children get training. Mr. Paras Gundecha is the Vice President of this institute.
Mumbai Mothers and Children Welfare Society-Palnaghar at Goregaon, where 160 children are looked after everyday. Here also Mr. Paras Gundecha is the Vice President.
Gundecha Charitable Hospital in Rajasthan, Mr. Paras Gundecha is the Trustee in the hospital.
Deepak Jyoti Parasnath Jain Temple, Parel that is looked after by Mr. Paras Gundecha as Trustee of this trust.
Shree 108 Parasnath Bhakti Vihar Jain Trust-Shankeshwar, Gujarat. Mr. Paras Gundecha is the Trustee of this Trust.
Electric Crematorium at Oshiwara, Goregaon (W) has been renovated beautifully and maintained by Gundecha Charities.
Gundecha Education Academy, an ICSE (New Delhi Board), school starting from June-2004 at Thakur Village Kandivali (E) under the leadership of Mr. Paras Gundecha as Trustee & Late Ms. Mamta P. Gundecha as the managing Trustee.
Bhakti Parasnath Jain Temples at Parel and Lalbaug. Mr. Paras Gundecha is the Trustee for both the temples.

Admissions offered in the Academic Year 2009-10: GUNDECHA EDUCATION ACADEMY offers admission to Std. V to VIII and Std. XI. There will be no admission to classes IX* or X for the Academic Year 2009 – 10. (* contact office)
Admission from Playgroup to Std. IV for Academic Year 2009 – 10 may be waitlisted.
Admission Process :
The admission process comprises of the following stages :
· Obtaining the Application Form for Admission from GUNDECHA EDUCATION ACADEMY.
· Submitting the duly completed Application for Admission * & supporting documents to GUNDECHA EDUCATION ACADEMY.
· Paying the Registration Fee.
· Acceptance of admission by the parents, submission of the documents and payment of the fees
· Confirmation of admission by GUNDECHA EDUCATION ACADEMY
Application for Admission :
The application for admission and other relevant documents can be obtained from the school admission office on payment of Rs. 500 in cash. The duly completed Application for Admission must be submitted to the admission office on or before the last date stipulated, along with the following documents:
a) One certified true copy each of School Reports (written in English, please) of the last one year (wherever applicable)
b) One certified true copy of child's Birth Certificate & Original Birth Certificate.
c) One Certified true copy of each of details, including dates and grades of any Public / Board Examinations already taken.
d) 2 Passport size photographs.
e) Photocopy of the Residential proof.
Note : Whenever a photocopy is submitted, the original documents should be made available, upon request.
(* Kindly ensure that the Application for Admission is complete in all respects, so as to facilitate the admission process.)

Acceptance of Admission : Admission will be confirmed on receipt of the following, within the specified deadline:
A) Fees
B) Security Deposit
C) Transfer Certificate from the School last attended (Countersigned incase of transfer from other states.)
D) Admission Acceptance Form.
If, for any reason, the Transfer Certificate cannot be produced at the time of admission, it must be produced on or before the commencement of regular classes, else admission will stand cancelled.
The Admission Acceptance Form, to be signed by parents, seeks to confirm among other things, their financial responsibilities to the school, an agreement that they and the child will conform to the regulations of the school in force from time to time, and that the school will not be liable for any damages or charges on account of injuries sustained by the child during his/her stay at the school.

Academics / Activities     
Encourages the child to assume responsibility for his/her learning. Stimulates the Left and Right Brain abilities so that the child gets a balanced education which caters to ‘whole-brain thinking’. Thus the curriculum is designed keeping in mind that the vast treasury of information has to become knowledge in the child’s mind.Various computer aided programmes and tie up with different educational organizations have enabled us to become self-sufficient in using and providing computer assisted education to our children. The latest technological advancements in the field of education have been incorporated to keep the child’s mind agile and active.
The organization Educational Initiatives conducts the skill based ASSET examination for our students. The results of the same are systematically conveyed to the students and parents.
With a view to develop and integrate the use of the four language skills i.e. listening, speaking, reading and writing, the Computer aided Waterford Early Learning Programme where learning to read, play with numbers and explore Scientific concepts are easily grasped by the Preprimary students is an added step towards imparting knowledge in a fun-filled way.
The Helen O’Grady Children’s Drama Academy trains the students to speak effectively and confidently. It helps to enhance the ability of the students to express their ideas and feelings in their own words and gives them an exposure to good and appropriate English.

We believe in the true sense that Work is worship, and the teachers and the taught can begin worshipping work right from the very first stage. In selecting activities for S.U.P.W., we make a conscious effort to minimize the expenses on the materials required. We generate the required contents from the local resources. Academic Results
With such a planned approach and foresight our first ICSE results were overwhelming and came as a welcome, motivating and encouraging one. Our first batch of ICSE-March 2008 had 49 students registered with the Council. The school had a 100% pass result with 39 of the students securing distinction marks. The lowest percentage was 67.5 and the highest being 95.2. This commendable performance by our students was a joint and collaborative effort of the students and the teachers. Of course the various innovative techniques employed and the focus on learning and understanding concepts enabled the students to perform well.
We aim at becoming a dominant player in the junior college education by offering the best educational experience to our aspiring students. We don't just wish to restrict ourselves to imparting quality school education, but wish to go a step beyond by laying a lot of emphasis on the college education that shapes the careers of our children. The students introduced themselves to the members & residents of the old age home. They presented a Cultural programme (dance and magic show) and distributed sweet, shawls, bed sheets, biscuits etc. to them. The visit aimed at inculcating values of empathy and sensitiveness to entertain the inmates & share a few moments of happiness with them.
